Last year today, I remember having a conversation with Simon where he told me that in 2009, Christmas would be amazing for Aidan, him, and I because we were going to be together.

I would give anything to have had that come true.

So I found some fat old guy on my roof with a bunch of horses. I shot him down and he had this sack on him, full of goods he stole from Toys R Us. I think he's a pedophile or some shit like that, trying to bait the little kiddies. I already called the cops, where should I hide his body?

Okay, so I download a song to my "My Music" folder and load it onto iTunes to synch to my iPod.

What happens if I delete the track from "My Music", will iTunes go looking for it? What if I rename the "My Music" folder, or move the track from one folder to another, will it make a difference?


Also, different but related question: How would you make the most out of an 8GB iPod, without getting another one? lol. I want to put a LOT of things in my iPod, but the space is so limiting, I'd have to keep replacing stuff. :(

So my name is Ariane (think Marianne without the M). There's almost nobody that can say it correctly the first time they try to say it, and very few who can say it again correctly a second or third time (or, you know, ever). I tell people that I respond to "hey you" because of it. I've never, in my life, had a nickname.. but I'm really starting to feel like I need one that people can remember and easily pronounce.

Okay I am really confused, I was at my uncles today which has pretty bad cell phone service in some parts of his house. I went on aim and there was a lot of screen names on my list I didn't add. One messaged me and then when I messaged them back they had no clue who I was then another one was on there and I wrote them and no clue. Could bad interception maybe interfere with someone else's body list or did somebody hack into my screen name? The weird thing is I can't find the sn's any where anymore.

Doesn't anyone know where I can find a place that sells corsets in Los Angeles? I've already browsed through the ones at Hot Topic and I'm looking for other shops.

Some time ago, I read something about people combing lemon juice into their hair to turn it blonde or get streaks. Note that I was about 8 when I read this and my more-than-a-decade-ago memories may be wrong. But if I am indeed recalling right, and this does work, how does one go about it? My hair's been steadily lightening in the sun and I figure I might look good with a few blonde-er highlights, but absolutely refuse to actually pay someone to do it (and don't trust myself to use drugstore boxes). Also, is this safe for hair, or is it about as smart as dunking my head in bleach?

I have to go to a Christmas brunch with (Jewish) relatives tomorrow.

Such gatherings tend to become a cesspool of negativity (complaints/racist jokes/talking about people who aren't there), and I've already been depressed lately. Also, I've been invited to a friend's house after.

How do I nicely duck out at the right time without seeming like I am deliberately avoiding obnoxious relatives, even if I am?

Hello, dharma pals. =) I have a very mundane question for you.

I meditate with a Vipassana sangha on Sundays. On the first Sunday of every month there's a little potluck afterward. I ordinarily flee from this event, as I'm not very imaginative where food is concerned. Every once in a strange while, though, I like to make tea eggs. Making them is joyful to me, like a little ritual. The boiling tea/spice/soy mixture perfumes my apartment, and the eggs come out looking like marble. I've just gotten some eggs from a local farm with free-range chickens. So just now, I thought: say, wouldn't some locally/humanely-sourced tea eggs be lovely funny things to bring to sangha potluck?

But then I thought hrm, not vegan. Would that be Not OK? I know the snacks people bring are always vegetarian, but vegan I'm not sure. I will first carefully gauge the level of ova-consumption among my fellow sitters so I don't make a terrible faux pas. In the meantime, though, I just thought I'd bounce it off you guys. This is not an invitation to debate the role of veg*nism in Buddhism! It's just a question about wanting to offer something, and not wanting to disrespect others in doing so.

What do you think? Skilled? Or OMG So Not? I know that folks will probably respect my intentions, but still. One likes to get it right the first time if one can.
